The Assemblyman for the Elluokrom Electoral Area in the Bia West District of the Western North Region, Louis Afful, has been honoured with the UCIA Community Impact Personality Award for Excellence.
The award ceremony took place at Adu-Addae Hotel on 1 May 2026 and brought together community leaders, dignitaries and residents to celebrate individuals making meaningful contributions to society.
The award was presented to Mr. Afful by Elohim Theological College and Seminary in recognition of his continuous contribution to the development of the people of Sefwi Elluokrom and its surrounding communities.
Mr. Afful has undertaken several impactful initiatives in the area, including supporting parents to pay school fees for their children. He has also established the Louis Foundation, which provides assistance to the less privileged, widows and the aged within the community.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Afful expressed his gratitude to the organisers for recognising his efforts and honouring him with the prestigious award. He noted that the recognition would motivate him to continue serving the people diligently.
He further pledged to continue making positive impacts in the lives of people in the Elluokrom community and beyond through development and humanitarian support initiatives.
