The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, Kofi Afful Benteh, has constructed a new reproductive and child health centre at the Boako Health Centre to improve healthcare delivery in the area.
The project was initiated following appeals from residents of Boako, who raised concerns about the urgent need for improved maternal and child health services at the facility.
Residents have expressed their appreciation to the MP for responding to their concerns and providing the much-needed infrastructure to support healthcare in the community.
Before the construction of the new facility, parents and caregivers faced significant challenges when seeking medical care for their children, particularly due to inadequate space and limited resources.
The newly constructed building includes two offices, two toilet facilities, and a 100-seater hall designated for weighing and child welfare services.
Speaking to Legendreport, the MP stated that the project forms part of his commitment to improving the well-being of people in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, adding that he remains dedicated to bringing more development to the area.
The project was funded through the MP’s Common Fund and is expected to be commissioned soon to officially begin serving the people of Boako and surrounding communities.
