The kingmakers of Sefwi Nsuasua have dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that the Chief of Nsuasua and Kyidomhene of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, Nana Elluo Panyin III, has been destooled.

Addressing a press conference at Nsuasua, the Queen Mother, Nana Abena Tawiah, together with the Krotihene, Kofi Owusu Tantan, and other kingmakers, stated that Nana Elluo Panyin III remains the legitimate chief of the community. According to them, they are the recognized kingmakers of Nsuasua and have not performed any customary rites or processes to destool the chief.

They questioned how any individual or group could claim to have destooled a chief without the involvement of the legitimate kingmakers of the land.
The kingmakers reaffirmed their unwavering support for Nana Elluo Panyin III and pledged to continue working with him to promote peace and development in the community.

They, therefore, called on the general public to disregard the reports alleging that the chief has been destooled, describing the claims as false and misleading.
The leaders further disclosed that four individuals have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
They urged the police to continue their investigations thoroughly and ensure that justice is served in accordance with the law.
