Residents of Sefwi Boako in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency have commended the Member of Parliament for the area, Kofi Afful Benteh, for his efforts in lobbying for the establishment of a Technical and Vocational Education and Training Senior High School (TVET SHS) in the community.

Their praise follows the announcement by the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, that the government plans to establish TVET Senior High Schools in selected constituencies across the country, with Boako among the beneficiary communities.

According to residents, the inclusion of Boako in the government’s plan is a result of the hard work and persistent lobbying by the Member of Parliament. They noted that Boako is one of the largest communities in the constituency but has long lacked a senior high school.

They expressed optimism that the proposed TVET SHS will improve access to secondary and technical education, reduce the burden on parents, and create more opportunities for young people in the area.

The residents further praised Kofi Afful Benteh for prioritizing development despite being a first-term MP. They said his commitment to bringing projects to the constituency is evident and prayed for God’s guidance and strength for him to continue delivering more development initiatives for the people of Sefwi Wiawso.
