At just 23 years old, Esther Mensah is pursuing a degree in Midwifery—and her journey to the university is one of courage, sacrifice, and determination.

Esther gained admission while she was seven months pregnant. Unknown to her, her brother had already bought the admission forms and paid all the fees to support her education. Afraid of disappointing her family and the man responsible for the pregnancy, she made the difficult decision to keep it a secret.

She attended lectures throughout her pregnancy and successfully gave birth while still in school. It was only after the birth of her baby that she revealed the truth to her family.

Today, her child is two years old, and Esther is a Level 400 student preparing to complete her studies in 2027.
