Western North Region, August 9, 2026 — Isaiah Kwarteng, Dean of Communication Officers in the Western North Region of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has formally declared his intention to contest for a Regional Communication leadership position in the Western North Region.
In his official declaration, Mr. Kwarteng said his decision follows considerable reflection, consultation and a deep consideration of the responsibility that comes with serving the party at the regional level. He emphasized that effective political communication goes beyond speaking for the party, stressing the need for communicators to be present, accessible, responsive and prepared to defend the ideals and achievements of the NDC.
Mr. Kwarteng highlighted his years of experience serving the NDC at various levels, including his current role as Dean of Communication Officers in the region. According to him, the position has allowed him to work closely with constituency communication officers and the broader regional communication structure in coordinating and supporting the party’s communication efforts across the region.
He said his experience has strengthened his conviction that effective regional communication requires constant engagement, accessibility, coordination and a strong understanding of the political dynamics within the various constituencies.
Special Message to Bia West
The NDC communicator also expressed profound gratitude to the people of Bia West Constituency and the constituency party structure for the confidence and opportunities given him during his tenure as Constituency Communication Officer.
He described Bia West as his political home and training ground, emphasizing that his decision to seek a regional position does not mean abandoning the constituency.
Rather, Mr. Kwarteng said he intends to carry the experience, lessons and values gained from Bia West to the broader regional platform.
He therefore appealed to the people of Bia West for their continued prayers, goodwill and support as he takes the next step in his political and party-service journey.
A Call for Unity
Addressing the wider NDC family in the Western North Region, Mr. Kwarteng said his declaration should not be viewed as a contest against any individual, but rather as a commitment to service, stronger communication and a more coordinated regional communication structure.
He pledged to work toward bringing communicators together, strengthening collaboration between regional and constituency structures, responding effectively to emerging issues, amplifying the achievements of the NDC government and ensuring that the party’s message reaches every corner of the Western North Region.
Mr. Kwarteng acknowledged the confidence and goodwill expressed by party leaders, government officials, communicators and grassroots members across the region, but noted that leadership ultimately belongs to the party members and must be earned through service, commitment and trust.
He has therefore appealed to delegates and the broader NDC family for their prayers, counsel and support as he seeks the opportunity to serve at the regional level.
Mr. Kwarteng said his ultimate goal is to help build “a stronger, more coordinated and more effective NDC communication machinery in the Western North Region.
