The General Secretary of the Sefwi-Asawinso Development Association (SADA), Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha, has called on the Western North Regional Minister to facilitate an independent, transparent, and comprehensive investigation into the recent shooting incident at Sefwi Sayerano in the Juaboso District.
In a statement issued on behalf of the association, Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha expressed deep concern over the reported loss of lives and injuries resulting from the incident. He stressed that, to maintain public confidence in the outcome of the investigation, the inquiry should be conducted by an independent team rather than the same police command whose officers have been implicated in the allegations.
According to him, an impartial investigation is essential to establish the facts, ensure accountability, and reassure the public that justice will be served without fear or favour.
SADA further appealed to the Western North Regional Minister to work closely with the appropriate state institutions to ensure that the investigation is credible, fair, transparent, and concluded without unnecessary delay.
“The loss of human life is a matter of profound public concern. We owe it to the affected families, the people of Sefwi Sayerano, and the entire Western North Region to ensure that the truth is established and that justice is done,” the statement said.
The association also urged residents to remain calm, exercise restraint, and cooperate fully with the investigative process in the interest of peace and justice.
