The District Chief Executive for the Juaboso District, Alexander Adu Quist, has led a joint inspection with the security services to assess the condition of recently desilted streams and choked gutters as part of efforts to prevent flooding.

The exercise followed ongoing desilting works undertaken by the district assembly to improve the free flow of water and reduce the risk of floods during the rainy season.
During the inspection, 34 people were arrested and arraigned before the Juaboso Magistrate Court to face prosecution.
Speaking to the DCE, Alexander Adu Quist said the assembly desilted the streams and gutters to prevent flooding and those arrested for various sanitation offences shall be prosecuted.

The DCE urged residents to support the assembly’s sanitation efforts by keeping drains free from waste and complying with environmental regulations.
