Agooha FM, a local radio station based in Sefwi Adwofua in the Bia West District of the Western North Region, has officially been launched after two years of operations.

The station has, over the past two years, focused on providing information, education and entertainment to residents of the Bia West District and its surrounding communities.

Speaking at the official launch, the Chief Executive Officer of Agooha FM, Bernard Gyebi Blay, said the journey over the past two years had not been easy. However, he noted that the station had remained committed to its core mandate of informing, educating and entertaining its listeners.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and commended the community for its continued support, dedication and acceptance of the station as their own.

Mr Blay assured listeners that management would continue to work hard to improve the station’s services and achieve its long-term objectives.

The General Manager of Agooha FM, Ernest Appiah, popularly known as Onyameba Appiah Kubi, also acknowledged the challenges involved in managing a radio station, describing the task as demanding.

He attributed the station’s ability to remain operational for two years to God’s grace and guidance, which he said had sustained him in his managerial responsibilities.

Mr Appiah further explained that securing advertisements from major companies in the region had been a challenge, but expressed gratitude to God for helping the station overcome its difficulties and sustain its operations.

He also commended the people of Adwofua and surrounding communities for their encouragement and support, stressing that their contribution had been instrumental in the station’s journey.

The official launch brought together residents, traditional leaders and other dignitaries to celebrate the station’s two years of service and its commitment to local broadcasting.
