Sebastian Asante Bonsu, a proud son of Sefwi, is using his knowledge and creativity to manufacture mathematical sets made from wood as an alternative to plastic products.

According to him, the initiative is aimed at helping protect the environment by reducing the use of plastic materials while creating employment opportunities for Ghanaians.

He explained that producing wooden mathematical sets would contribute to reducing plastic waste in the country and promote environmentally friendly alternatives within the education sector.

Sebastian has therefore appealed to organisations, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Members of Parliament (MPs) and other stakeholders who require mathematical sets to support his initiative by purchasing the locally manufactured products.

He believes that patronising the wooden mathematical sets will not only promote local manufacturing but also create jobs, support entrepreneurship and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Meanwhile, his father, Osei Bonsu, has also appealed to Ghanaians, educational institutions and other stakeholders to patronise the product.

He emphasised that supporting locally manufactured wooden mathematical sets would help reduce plastic waste and encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly products in the country.

The initiative presents an opportunity to promote local innovation, create jobs and contribute to the protection of Ghana’s ecosystem.
