The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Juaboso Constituency has dismissed the recent defections of some party members, describing them as an orchestrated political strategy allegedly aimed at creating disaffection and weakening the party’s grassroots support.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, November 5, 2026, the constituency leadership said it considered it necessary to address public declarations by some individuals who had renounced their membership of the NPP.
Titled “Juaboso NPP Stands Strong and Tall: Ignore the Orchestrated Defections,” the statement reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its principles and commended members who continue to demonstrate loyalty and dedication despite the challenges of being in opposition.
The constituency leadership alleged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was behind a politically orchestrated strategy to weaken the NPP in Juaboso. It, however, assured members that counterstrategies and measures had been put in place to frustrate the alleged attempts.
According to the statement, the defected individuals failed to communicate justifiable reasons for their decisions despite efforts by party leadership at various levels, from the polling station to the national level, to engage them.
The leadership nevertheless wished the former members well, adding that the doors of the NPP remained open to them should they reconsider their decisions.
It further appealed to party members, stakeholders and supporters to put aside personal differences and possible vendettas, urging those with grievances to bring them to the attention of the constituency leadership for redress.

The statement also called for unity, discipline and renewed commitment among party faithful, insisting that the current challenges should inspire members to work harder towards regaining political power.
The Juaboso NPP expressed confidence in its electoral prospects, declaring that the constituency remained strong and determined to secure victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2028.
The statement was signed by Bright Beh, Deputy Secretary of the NPP in the Juaboso Constituency.
