The Member of Parliament for the Bodi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, has embarked on an inspection tour of several ongoing government projects across the Bodi District to assess the progress of work.
Accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bodi, Stephen Baidoo, the Deputy Minister inspected about seven development projects in seven communities. These included a six-unit classroom block at Sefwi Patakro, the Aferewa CHPS Compound, the LL Nkwanta CHPS Compound, a nurses’ quarters at Kwasikrom, and another six-unit classroom block at Tikobo. The projects are currently between 70 and 90 percent complete.
Speaking after the inspection, Mr. Ahi commended the contractors for the quality of work and the steady progress made so far. He expressed confidence that all the projects, which are at their final stages, would be completed soon and handed over for public use.
He explained that some of the projects were inherited from previous administrations, while others were initiated under the current government. According to him, the Mahama administration remains committed to accelerating development, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and infrastructure, to ensure that the people of Bodi Constituency receive their fair share of national development.
The Bodi District Chief Executive, Stephen Baidoo, also expressed satisfaction with the pace of work. He disclosed that all the projects are expected to be completed by 20 August and commissioned shortly afterwards to serve the beneficiary communities.
Mr. Baidoo reiterated that it is the responsibility of both the District Assembly and the government to provide essential infrastructure for the people. He assured residents that the NDC government remains committed to delivering meaningful development across the district.
