The former Deputy Chief Executive of the Ghana Forestry Commission and former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Juaboso has accepted defeat following the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Western North Regional Executive elections.
She contested the Regional Chairperson position but secured nine votes, losing the race to her contenders.
Speaking on the Life Radio 105.5 morning show with host Kwame Asubonteng Shaker, she said she had accepted the election outcome in good faith and remained committed to the broader objective of strengthening the NPP.
She acknowledged that losing an election could be disappointing but said the defeat would not discourage her from supporting the party. She expressed appreciation to delegates, supporters, friends and well-wishers who backed her throughout the campaign.
The former DCE stressed that her commitment to the NPP goes beyond holding a particular position, pledging to continue serving the party and contributing to its development in whatever capacity possible.
She also called on party members and supporters to remain united, disciplined and committed to the ideals of the NPP following the elections.
Her acceptance of the results and congratulatory message to the successful candidates reflect what she described as her continued commitment to the party despite the electoral setback.
She maintained that the defeat does not mark the end of her political journey, but rather presents another opportunity to serve the NPP and its grassroots.
Her interview on Life Radio 105.5 provided an opportunity to address the election results, thank her supporters and reaffirm her determination to remain active in the party.
