The President of the Western North Teachers Forum, Mr prince Abubakar has revealed that, association played a key role in the victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections. The Teachers Forum is an association formed by teachers in the Western North Region who are affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The aim of the forum is to mobilize teachers within the education sector who support the NDC to actively participate in and support the party’s activities.
Speaking at the launch of the forum, the President, Mr. Prince Abubakar, told the media that the group worked tirelessly ahead of the 2024 elections.
According to him, the forum contributed significantly to the NDC’s electoral victory, with some members serving as polling agents during the elections.
Mr. Abubakar also revealed that the forum contributed ideas during the drafting of the NDC manifesto, and some of their proposals were considered by the party.
He further stated that the forum recommended the distribution of free sanitary pads to students, as well as other improvements within the education sector.
He assured the party leadership that the forum remains committed to mobilizing teachers who are aligned with the NDC to continue working for the growth of the party.
