The District Manager for Bodi, Mr. Eric Frimpong, disclosed that the district has so far registered about 68,000 residents in the Sefwi Bodi District. He stated that the district has achieved more than 88 percent coverage under the Universal Health Coverage programme.

He added that for the first and second quarters of 2026, the district aims to achieve a 45 percent population growth in NHIA registration coverage.
Mr. Frimpong further explained that although the district has made significant progress in meeting its targets, poor network connectivity remains a major challenge affecting registration activities in some communities.
He noted that several communities in the district lack stable network access, which continues to affect the smooth registration and renewal process. He, therefore, appealed to the government to improve network infrastructure in the area to support effective healthcare registration services.
