The Chief of Enchi Kwawu, Nana Tano Kabaah, together with the Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Aowin, Stephen Morcher, and the MCE for Sefwi Wiawso, Dominic Gyasi, have been awarded Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Humane Letters by Elohim Theological College and Seminary in collaboration with Apostolic University of USA.

Speaking at the ceremony, Archbishop Prof. Dr. Kwame Aburam Anoffi explained that the honorary doctorate degrees were conferred on the awardees not only because of their leadership positions, but also due to their dedicated service to humanity and their contributions toward the development of society.

According to him, the recipients have demonstrated commitment and sacrifice in their various capacities, making them worthy of the prestigious recognition.
The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, who was among the awardees, expressed gratitude to the institutions for recognizing their efforts and contributions to society. He noted that while some people obtain doctorate degrees through academic studies, others earn recognition through hard work and dedicated service to humanity. He added that the award serves as motivation for them to continue serving the people diligently and contribute positively to national development.

Nana Tano Kabaah, who is also the Chief of Enchi Kwawu, said he was surprised when he received the call informing him about the honorary doctorate award. He stated that serving people without expecting rewards is important because someone somewhere may be observing one’s good works. He therefore encouraged fellow chiefs and traditional rulers to continue serving their communities wholeheartedly, stressing that their efforts would one day be rewarded.

The Aowin MCE, Stephen Morcher, also expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him. He explained that since assuming office under the mandate of the President, he has focused on creating job opportunities for the youth, distributing laptops to students, drilling boreholes, and improving infrastructure within the municipality as part of his service to the people.

On his part, the Sefwi Wiawso MCE, Dominic Gyasi, described the honorary doctorate degree as a challenge for him to work even harder for the people of Sefwi Wiawso. He thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him through his appointment as MCE and also expressed gratitude to the people of Sefwi Wiawso for their continuous support.
