One Year of Impactful Journalism, Responsible Storytelling and Giving Western North a Voice
The Sefwi Asawinso Development Association (SADA) has congratulated LegendReport.com on reaching its first anniversary, commending the online news platform for its contribution to journalism and community development in the Western North Region.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Secretary of SADA, Prophet Wisdom Aha, the association described LegendReport.com’s first year as a significant milestone, noting that the platform has demonstrated commitment to travelling across communities to bring stories, issues and voices from different parts of the region to public attention.
According to SADA, LegendReport.com has covered a wide range of issues, including politics and governance, education, health, sports, entertainment, traditional affairs, culture, community development and social issues.
The association particularly commended what it described as the platform’s commitment to political neutrality and balanced reportage, stressing the importance of professional journalism in strengthening democracy and promoting development.
A MEDIA HOUSE THAT GOES TO THE PEOPLE
SADA noted that LegendReport.com does not simply wait for stories to arrive but travels to communities to report directly from the people.
It said this approach was particularly important for the Western North Region, where communities across the region have diverse stories and development concerns that deserve public attention.
The association said farmers, traditional leaders, students, entrepreneurs, politicians, footballers, creative artists, health workers and ordinary citizens all form part of the Western North story, adding that by bringing their voices into the public space, LegendReport.com is contributing to the documentation of the region.
SADA’S APPRECIATION
As an organisation committed to community development and the advancement of Western North, SADA said it recognises the important role responsible journalism plays in development.
The association stressed that development goes beyond roads, hospitals, schools and businesses, noting that information is also an important component of development.
It therefore commended the management, journalists, bloggers, correspondents, camera operators and everyone behind LegendReport.com for their work throughout the past year.

SADA encouraged LegendReport.com to continue upholding the principles of:

The association further wished the platform greater reach, stronger professional capacity, improved technology and more opportunities to tell stories that matter to the people of Western North.
SADA said Western North needs media platforms that not only report events but also help document the region’s history, highlight its development aspirations and communicate its stories to Ghana and the world.
The association concluded:
