The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West, Matthew Annor, has commended the contractor working on the 24-Hour Economy Market project at Oseikojokrom for the progress and quality of work being executed.

Oseikojokrom was selected in the Bia West District as location for the government’s flagship 24-Hour Economy programme, which seeks to establish modern markets and promote economic activities across the country.

On September 1, 2026, the DCE, together with the Western North Regional Minister and officials from the Regional Coordinating Council and the Bia West District Assembly, inspected ongoing development projects in the district.

During the inspection, the team visited the 24-Hour Economy Market project site at Oseikojokrom, where the DCE expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being carried out by the contractor.

Mr. Annor noted that he and a team from the Assembly had visited the project site about two weeks earlier and were impressed by the significant progress recorded since their previous visit.

He commended Joy and Joy Company, the contractor responsible for the project, for the quality and pace of work and urged the company to maintain the momentum to ensure the project is completed on schedule.

The DCE further assured the contractor that the Bia West District Assembly remains committed to providing the necessary support and assistance to facilitate the timely completion of the project.

He said the Assembly would continue to work closely with the contractor and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered to the expected standards and benefits residents of the district.
