Residents of Ackaahkrom in the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency of the Western North Region have commended their Member of Parliament, Pious Kwame Nkuah, and the District Chief Executive, Joseph Appiah, for initiating and supporting development projects in the area.
The projects include a CHPS compound, a completed three-unit classroom block and the installation of solar-powered streetlights.
The development initiatives are aimed at improving access to healthcare, education and security within communities in the Sefwi Akontombra District.
The completed three-unit classroom block is expected to provide a better learning environment for pupils, while the CHPS compound will help improve access to basic healthcare services.
The installation of solar-powered streetlights is also expected to enhance visibility and security during the night.
Residents who spoke in an interview expressed their appreciation to the MP and DCE, urging them to continue with development projects that address the needs of the people.
Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Akontombra, Joseph Appiah, said it is their responsibility to ensure the development of the district once they are the superintendent of the area. He further mentioned that the district, through the common fund, central government support, and community self-help initiatives, has undertaken many developmental projects in the Akontombra district.
