The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to open nominations for constituency executive positions tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, as the party begins another important phase in its internal elections.
In our assessment, some constituencies in the Western North Region are expected to witness particularly intense contests, with Aowin, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai and Suaman standing out as constituencies where the various camps appear highly prepared and eager for the race.
The competition in these constituencies could be closely watched, given the level of interest and activity among potential aspirants and their supporters.
Meanwhile, Juaboso, Bodi, Bia West and Bia East may not face significant difficulties in their constituency executive elections, based on the current political atmosphere and indications on the ground.
Sefwi Wiawso Constituency could also produce a competitive contest for the chairmanship position if the situation remains unchanged.
However, all eyes will particularly be on Aowin and Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, where the strength of the various camps and their preferred candidates could make the contests some of the most interesting to watch in the Western North Region.
As nominations open, the real test will be whether the expected competition remains peaceful, transparent and focused on strengthening the NDC at the constituency level.
