The General Overseer of Believers Weapon Ministry, Sefwi Asawinso, Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha, has initiated a practical economic empowerment effort aimed at helping church members establish businesses and reduce unemployment among them.

The initiative is built on the conviction that the church must not only provide spiritual guidance but also help its members develop practical means of livelihood.

According to Prophet Wisdom Aha, prayer and economic empowerment must work together. He believes that while the church continues to pray for the prosperity and wellbeing of its members, it must also equip them with opportunities and resources that can help them become productive and financially independent.

As part of the initiative, selected members are being supported with business capital to establish or expand small businesses. The beneficiaries are expected to use the funds responsibly, grow their businesses and, where possible, create employment opportunities for others.

Speaking on the initiative, Prophet Wisdom Aha said:

“The church should not only pray for people to get jobs; we must also help create an environment where our members can become job creators.”

He further explained that unemployment is not only an economic problem but one that can affect families, young people and communities in several ways. Therefore, empowering individuals to establish sustainable businesses can contribute to reducing economic hardship and improving the standard of living.

The initiative also emphasizes financial discipline, proper business management, accountability and reinvestment, rather than simply giving money to members without guidance.

Prophet Wisdom Aha stressed that the objective is not merely to distribute money, but to build entrepreneurs who can stand on their own, support their families and eventually employ others.

“If we can help one person start a viable business, that person can feed a family. If we help many people, we can influence an entire community.”

The General Overseer believes that churches have an important role to play in national development by combining spiritual transformation with practical empowerment.

The initiative forms part of his broader vision of building a church whose impact extends beyond Sunday worship into the economic, social and personal development of its members and the wider community.
